Ayurveda is the knowledge of life,
a mindful way of living based on understanding
Ayurveda means discipline and the awareness of living.
It is the Indian holistic philosophy that considers each person a whole via their three basic principles of energy called Tridosha (Kapha, Pitta, and Vata).
These principles are founded on five elements that constitute the entire existing universe (and therefore humankind too) and they are:
Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether.
The physical and mental health of a person therefore depends on the harmonious relationship of the Tridosha, and the knowledge/practice of Ayurveda is a positive guide for living a healthy and contented life.
